The 5-Step Design Process

I. Strategize

Before embarking on any design project, it's important to get to know you and your business. To that end, I'll send a detailed questionnaire for you to fill out. On your start date, we'll hop on a call and I'll pepper you with more questions! I'll then use everything we talked about to create a design strategy guide to make sure we're on the right track.

II. Outline

One of the things we'll talk a lot about during our strategy session is how to present your content in a way that compells visitors to take action and buy your product or service. This is the stage where we'll hammer out exactly what that will look like on your website. In design speak, this is called wireframing. The purpose of wireframing is to decide on a layout for your content. You'll get one round of revisions on the wireframes of your new website.

III. Design

This is where things get fun. After creating the layout for your design, I'll create a mockup of your homepage incorporating your brand logo, fonts, colors, and images. You'll get one round of revisions on the mockup.

IV. Build

In this stage, I turn the mockup into a live website. This is the part where I get to play with code and you get to sit back and relax! You'll get one final round of revisions on the live website.

V. Launch

It's time to show off your new website to the world!

It’s More Than Just a Website

My Design Philosophy

“Form and function should be one, joined in a spiritual union.”
-Frank Lloyd Wright

Goal-Oriented Design

What is the purpose of your website? To sell more products, book more clients, grow your email list? Whatever your goal, my entire process is designed to help you achieve it.

Collaboration Is Key

Web design isn't a one-woman show. It's a collaborative process that requires mutual respect, open communication, trust, and a healthy sense of humor.

Life Should Be Easier

Running a business is hard but your website should make your job easier, not harder. I use Squarespace for my clients (and myself) because it's painless to update and maintain.

Simplicity Is Beautiful

I believe in minimizing distractions and letting your core message shine. White space lets your content breathe!

Automation Rules

There's nothing I love more than making your life easier by implementing elegant systems that automate your online business.

Little Things Matter

I pay attention to the details, especially in the final stage of a design. It's the little things that can help you stand out from the pack.
