Scale with Templates came to me when I needed it most and in the way I needed it to most. It was efficient, matter-of-fact, informative, pleasant, and continues to be an ongoing source of support for me in my template shop and my business as a whole. I really love Kate. I really love her offerings. This course is just like a real Sistine Chapel of course creation. It’s so fantastic. I highly recommend it.

Meet Corinne

Corinne is a Squarespace Template designer, hospitality expert, and founder of Entrepreneuress. In 2020, following the start of the pandemic, Corinne decided to bet on herself, combining her creative skills in design and client services, and decided to launch her business.

Beginnings

Before starting her business and joining Scale with Templates, Corinne spent 18 years in the hospitality industry, including running her own food blog for 12 years. As her career and technology evolved, her work shifted to the more creative side; using her art and design background, she began designing websites and offering strategic coaching.

Building sustainable work

After launching her business and working with clients, Corinne quickly clocked that her clients needed the same type of support over and over again. They were getting bogged down and spending their time on administrative tasks or processes that were not financially and energetically serving them.

And they were not alone.

Corinne knew something needed to change within her business and for her clients.

She wanted to continue delivering her signature luxe design in a less demanding way. She also wanted her clients to have an efficient way to get their websites up and running without sacrificing quality or having to go at it alone.

Templates presented themselves as a more sustainable way for Corinne and her clients to work together.

But not all templates are built for ongoing support, let alone platform changes.

Corinne knew she'd need solid foundations for building an outstanding template experience for her clients.

Entrepreneuress

Taking strategic action

Corinne wanted to learn from someone not only knowledgeable about Squarespace but also an expert who had gone from client work to building their own shop successfully:

One of the reasons I feel so drawn to her offerings is because she’s very feature-focused. And I knew that it would be very detail-oriented and well thought out without being overwhelming. And so that’s what really made me want to invest in this course.

She had previously taken a similar course, but it fell short of her expectations and didn’t give her the tools to action anything she'd learned:

There’s something that I talk about a lot on social media, which is when you take an online course, and it feels more like a permission slip than an informational session. And that’s really what I felt the first course was. It did fall short in terms of strategy and support. It was more sort of like, “Hey, I’m making templates; you can too.” And I was like, well, this has been a great permission slip, but it didn’t provide me the education and strategy that I needed.

For Corinne, having already been familiar with Kate's blog and her being such a credible and recognizable figure in the online business world solidified that Scale with Templates was the most aligned choice for moving forward with her template shop.

Corinne's Intention to Empire Template

Running a thriving Squarespace template shop

Since launching her template shop, Corinne achieved one of her major goals when she started the course: moving almost entirely away from client work.

Corinne still takes on projects that she's passionate about, but this shift to primarily template sales has allowed her to spend more time with friends and count on her business to work in the background to keep making sales without constant hustle.

The fact that these templates are already built, and I can really go all in on marketing because my products sell [themselves] and my clients can help themselves through that whole process, that’s a huge game changer for me.

But Corinne's story doesn't end there. Her experience in the course rejuvenated her creativity and sparked a new idea for an ingenious Squarespace plugin known as BrandfettiTM:

I ended up actually halfway through my templates project having a big aha moment of a Squarespace plugin that I developed. Had I not embarked on the template process, it wouldn’t have even occurred to me to begin with.

Thanks to the Scale with Templates community, Corinne can always count on ongoing support from Kate and her peers from the course.

For Corinne, the future is balance. She continues to nurture her offerings and strives to offer her clients stunning templates and the best possible experience.

I do feel really well prepared to handle whatever comes next because I’ve built such an efficient and effective system for myself and my clients. I really was seeking work-life balance desperately. And templates [have] allowed me to find that.

Thank you, Corinne, for sharing your story! We can't wait to watch your shop continue to evolve.
