I help Squarespace designers build more sustainable businesses through scalable offers and smart systems.

Because burnout isn’t a rite of passage. It’s a red flag. 🚩

Like most freelance designers, I started out chasing the dream of a fully booked client calendar.

But it didn’t take long to realize that dream was holding me back.

I really wanted more freedomβ€”time freedom, creative freedom, financial freedom. And I know I’m not the only one.

The traditional client-service model can only take you so far before burnout sets in. When your income depends on constantly saying yes to new projects or logging a certain number of hours, rest starts to feel like a luxury you can’t afford.

My mission is to help designers like you break that cycle. To turn your creative skills into offers that sell even when you’re off the clock and build a business that supports the life you actually want.

I’ve been in the Squarespace world for over 7 yearsβ€”first as a traditional web designer, then as a template shop owner and business educator. My work has evolved over time, but it always comes back to the same thing: helping creative entrepreneurs build businesses that work for them, not the other way around.

These days, most of my time is spent teaching fellow designers, creating templates over at Launch Out Loudβ„’ (my new Squarespace template shop), and sharing the occasional hot take in my weekly newsletter.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me curled up with a book, wandering the aisles of a local bookstore, or watching an embarrassing number of cat videos on Instagram (despite being tragically allergic).

Discovered and fell in love with Squarespace when looking for a website platform for my new marketing business.

Built my first client website and charged $700 for it, then joined a mastermind to improve my design skills and Squarespace knowledge.

My first client site

Rebranded and started marketing myself as a Squarespace designer. Struggled to book clients and was stressed by all the deadlines and Zoom meetings when I did...

Babyfaced new designer

Launched my first Squarespace template and was shocked by how quickly my business grew.

I continued working with clients but developed a repetitive strain injury that made it increasingly difficult to work. Finally, in November, crying in pain while trying to meet a client deadline, I decided it was time for a radical change...

The original Sparhawk template

Quit client work in January and went all in on templates. Had my highest revenue month ever and was so relieved.

In June, I launched my first course, Scale with Templates and sold out all of my pre-launch spots in 24 min.

Filming courses

Launched my second course, then developed another wrist injury and couldn’t work for 5 full months.

Despite being out of commission, I took a leap of faith and redesigned my home office, did my first real brand photoshoot, and still made a full-time income.

Modern desk setup with a computer monitor, keyboard, microphone, speakers, a laptop, a plant, and a coffee mug, all arranged neatly on a wooden desk.

now a reality!

First official brand photoshoot

Hired my ops manager, Michelle, and started the long process of coming back from that unplanned leave of absence. I also got serious about rest and started taking off a week every month.

Less work, more of this

Spent the first half of the year reeling from the seismic changes in the economy and business world. Then adapted and started testing new strategies that primed me for a major comeback in 2025.

Getting ready for a live launch

Split my business into two companies. Founded Launch Out Loudβ„’ (my new design studio and template shop) and focused my personal brand on helping designers scale their businesses.

And now I’m on track to have my best year ever!

here’s what i believe

  • The corporate world wasn’t built for neurodiverse, disabled, chronically ill folks, parents, or caregivers… so, like, most of the population. We need to intentionally create an economy that honors different capacities, energy levels, and life circumstances. Success shouldn’t be reserved for the few who can hustle hardest. It should be flexible, sustainable, and within reach for everyone.

  • I believe in building relationships, not fences. We’re all better off when we share ideas, celebrate each other’s wins, and support one another’s growth. The online space is big enough for all of us, and the more we collaborate, the stronger this community becomes. When one of us wins, we all do.

  • You know how appliances used to last 30+ years and now you’re lucky if your blender makes it through the week? I still believe things should be made like thatβ€”with care and craftsmanship. I’m always asking, How can I make this better? and encouraging others to do the same. Because quality builds trust and trust builds businesses.

  • The most successful business owners are forever studentsβ€”always observing, always learning, always asking questions. I believe in following those questions, experimenting boldly, and embracing the messy process of figuring things out. That’s where the magic happens.

If reading this feels like a deep exhale, you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
